Robert A. Wilson

Robert Alfonse Wilson, known to most as Rob, passed away at home in the quiet morning hours of Friday, July 26, 2024 at the age of 49.  Cherished husband and partner of Julie Taillon, together sharing 10 years.   Rob is survived by his son, William Taillon.  Loving son to Linda Giordano (Peter) and brother to Coralee James (Danny).  Rob is fondly remembered by his uncle, Jim VanDeWalle (Pauline), and by his many friends.   He is predeceased by his brother Jason VanDorp ("PJ"), by his step-father, Glen Cole and by his maternal grandparents, Margaret and Alfons VanDeWalle.  Rob was well-known around Woodstock, and although he kept to himself in his last years, he made a difference in the lives of many with his quiet support.

A celebration of Rob's life is being held at the Harvey Woods Lofts in the atrium on August 11 between 1-3 PM.  For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Oxford.
