Kevin David Kostyria passed away unexpectedly, but surrounded by love on October 10, 2024 at the age of 46. Kevin's infectious smile and generous spirit were a blessing to all who knew him.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Alicia (nee Wodzinski), and a proud Dad to his sons, Cohen, Greyson, and Brantley. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and he embraced every moment with them with joy and enthusiasm.
A son of David and Deborah Kostyria, Kevin grew up in a home filled with love and laughter. His bond with his brother, Trevor (Jennifer), was one of mutual respect and camaraderie. He was a fun-loving uncle to Pasha, Finnian, Chloe, Payton, Breya, Lacy, and Carson. As a son-in-law to Fay and the late Andrzej Wodzinski, and brother-in-law to Krista, the late Michael (Tammy), and Nicole (Brian), Kevin was a valued and integral part of the Wodzinski family.
Kevin's commitment to service was evident through his 10 years with the Canadian Military as a 2CER Engineer. Kevin continued his career with North America Construction for close to 20 years where he was a valued colleague and dear friend to many. An avid outdoorsman, Kevin found solace and joy in nature. He was happiest when camping, spending time at the cottage, or simply enjoying the beauty of the Canadian landscape. His love for the outdoors was a passion he shared with his family, creating cherished memories on every adventure.
Kevin was also a passionate sports fan, proudly supporting the Toronto Blue Jays and dedicating himself to his children's athletic pursuits. As a "hockey and soccer dad," he was a constant presence on the sidelines, cheering on his sons and their teams with enthusiasm and pride. His interests extended to the simple pleasures in life, such as savoring a well-crafted beer and experiencing the energy of live music. These moments, often shared with friends and loved ones, were a reflection of Kevin's ability to find happiness in the everyday.
