Kevin Charles Douglas Kenny, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on April 8th in Harley, ON, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 17, 1974, in Brockville, ON, Kevin was the cherished son of Kimberly and the late Gordon Kenny. He was the devoted husband of Holly, whom he adored for 22 years. His life was further enriched by the companionship of his dogs, Blue and the late Peanut.

Kevin was the proud brother of Mariann (Kyle Strickland) Kenny, Lucus Kenny, and Ariel Kenny (Doug). He was also a loving son-in-law to Verla and the late Rick Sr. Blackmore and brother-in-law to Rick Jr., Rob, and Adam (Natalie) Blackmore. Birth father, Larry Dixon, and his partner, Nancy, and stepbrother to Anthony. Cherished grandson of remaining living grandmother Gwen Johnson. His life was further enriched by the companionship of his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, along with his Aunt and Uncles. Kevin will also be missed by his many friends.

Throughout his life, Kevin was a hardworking and dedicated individual. He spent many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator for a construction company, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His commitment to his work was evident in the pride he took in his projects and the camaraderie he shared with his coworkers.

An avid outdoorsman, Kevin's favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, ice fishing and playing on the CB radio. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors, whether it was just working, having family gatherings, or casting a line in the water. His passion for the outdoors was contagious, and he often shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with friends and family alike.

Kevin was known for his generosity, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His friendly demeanor and infectious smile made him a popular figure in his community, and he was always ready with a kind word or a helping hand.

A skilled handyman, Kevin could often be found tinkering with projects around the house or helping friends and family with their own repairs. His natural talent for fixing things and his willingness to share his expertise made him a valued resource for those around him.

In his personal life, Kevin was a devoted family man. His love for his wife, Holly, was evident in the way he always put her first and supported her in all her endeavors. The bond between them was so strong from their years of traveling on the road, to going to shows, traveling abroad or even as simple as cuddling on the couch. He was a loving son to his mother, Kimberly, and a loyal brother to his siblings, always there to offer advice or a shoulder to lean on. Kevin's nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews were a constant source of joy and pride for him, and he cherished the time he spent with them.

Kevin's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and dedication to his family and friends. Although Kevin may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Wednesday, April 12th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home., 845 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock( 519-539-0004). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Kevin's name and may be arranged through the funeral home. As we say goodbye to Kevin Charles Douglas Kenny, let us remember the words of Dr. Seuss: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Kevin's life was a testament to the power of love, friendship, and compassion, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him for years to come.
