In the heart of the city, where the Thames River flowed,
Chrystal Margaret Anne Thompson, a loving spirit, glowed.
Born to Wilbert Thompson and Katherine Kilbourne, in London, Ontario's light,
On the eighth day of April, 1979, a star in their sight.
She shared her joy and laughter, with her brother, Rob, so dear,
And her love overflowed, for her children, she held near.
Christopher, Patrick, Emma, Hunter, and Adam, their names,
Each one held in her heart, their lives, her greatest gains.
Chrystal was a beacon, her love was known to all,
Her kindness and selflessness, made her stand tall.
She loved arts and crafts, her hands were never still,
Creating beauty and joy, was her greatest thrill.
Her love for traveling, was a passion she did share,
From the shores of Lake Ontario, to the Rockies, fair.
Each journey was an adventure, a memory to make,
A story to be told, a dream to partake.
On the eleventh of August, 2023, she took her final rest,
In the city of her birth, the place she loved best.
Pneumonia may have claimed her, but her spirit remains,
In the hearts of those she loved, her memory never wanes.
As a mother, daughter, sister, Chrystal was a delight,
Her love, an endless beacon, a shining, radiant light.
She lived her life with purpose, with kindness, and with grace,
Leaving an indelible imprint, that time cannot erase.
As we remember Chrystal, let's hold these words so true,
"Loving, kind, and selfless," a tribute, her due.
Her spirit lives within us, her love forever bound,
In the hearts and memories, where her essence is found.
In the words of Emily Dickinson, a poet of great repute,
"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality, absolute."
Chrystal's love is eternal, her spirit forever bright,
A shining star in our hearts, guiding us through the night.
So, let's raise a glass to Chrystal, to her life, so well-lived,
To the love she shared, the joy she gave, the kindness she did give.
Though she may be gone in body, her spirit will forever roam,
In the hearts of those she loved
