The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard "Bruce" Flowers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Thames Talbot Land Trust
Condolence: Bruce came to visit the Thames Talbot Land Trust over a year ago to talk about his passion for the environment and Oxford County. He was very definite in what he wanted to support. I was quite impressed in his historic knowledge of the County and his support of various projects. I was hoping I would get to know him better because he was so interesting. You could tell he was a teacher because he wanted to impart his knowledge and he engaged you with his enthusiasm. Thank you Bruce for your support of our work and we look forward to embellishing your wishes for Oxford County. Suzanne McDonald Aziz Executive Director

Condolence: Bruce and I worked together as artists and friends many times over the years. He was always supportive of my work, travelling to shows and sending thoughtful and insightful emails about my work each time. I have saved all those messages and will treasure them always. I`m honoured to own one of his beautiful expressive sculptures. My next opening will not be the same without Bruce arriving, bouquet in hand, to help celebrate the day with his passion for art. I miss him already.

He spoke of his family with love and pride. My thoughts are with you now.

Condolence: Mr. Flowers was my high school art teacher for 3 years. In that short time he left an impact on me that will last forever. He was inspirational, motivating, kind, passionate, wise, and most of all he gave me confidence in my art. This is something I will always treasure, and no doubt he has done the same for countless others. I am saddened to hear of his passing, but his greatness lives on.

Condolence: Mr. Flowers taught me art way back in the late 80s. He was an amazing teacher! His passion for art came through every day in class. He taught me so much about appreciating art and how to become a better artist. 30 years later I still have some of the art I did in that class and remember those lessons. My condolences to all his family and friends.
